Enhancing Student Satisfaction

Study on Student Satisfaction and Strategies for Improvement in Teacher Education Institutions

Overview

Teacher education institutions are responsible for preparing teachers with professional competencies, and it is essential to comprehensively assess and diagnose these institutions to ensure the development of high-quality educators.

As societal needs evolve, the role of teachers is expanding, and the importance of cultivating future-oriented competencies among prospective teachers has increased accordingly.

To understand the performance of teacher education institutions and promote improvement, a systematic satisfaction survey of current students enrolled in teacher education programs is required.

Purpose

The student satisfaction survey will be conducted using quantitative data collected through a structured questionnaire.

The survey aims to identify the current status, performance, and limitations of teacher education institutions based on students' experiences, and to propose strategies for enhancing student satisfaction.

Ultimately, the study seeks to establish a long-term data system that enables continuous and systematic analysis, as well as the consistent feedback and refinement of outcomes.

Method

Participants will be recruited from enrolled students in the College of Education at Seoul National University. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. Undergraduate students enrolled in any of the 15 departments of the SNU teacher education institution (College of Education)

2. Graduate students enrolled in the 15 departments of the College of Education or in education-related interdisciplinary programs who are completing teacher education requirements

3. Individuals who meet Criteria (1) and (2) and voluntarily agree to participate in the study

4. Individuals who meet Criterion (3) and remain enrolled at Seoul National University for the duration of the study

The survey will assess satisfaction in the following areas: relationships with faculty and peers, curriculum, practicum-based education, aptitude and personality assessment, educational environment, and educational outcomes.
