SNU Teacher Education Innovation Center

  • Division of Foundational Education

    • Development of educational programs to strengthen prospective teachers' critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Operation and evaluation of the first-year courses Experience and Growth (경험과 성장) and Collaboration and Growth (협력과 성장), introduced in 2023
    • Planning, operation, and evaluation of teacher-training and common curriculum courses that enhance the connection between coursework and school practice
    • Key initiatives: Experience and Growth (1st semester), Collaboration and Growth (2nd semester), TEIC Prospective Teacher Lesson Inquiry Contest (예비교사수업 탐구대회)
  • Division of Field Experiences

    • Effective and efficient support for educational service activities and environment development
    • Establishment of teaching practicum system and development of partner schools for enhancing pre-service teachers' teaching expertise
    • Innovation of practicum process through revision of practicum logs and development of manuals
    • Establishment of post-service feedback system to develop pre-service teachers' self-reflection capabilities

  • Division of Planning and Assessment

    • Preparation for and continuous monitoring of the Teacher Education Institution Competency Assessment
    • Analysis of best practices in domestic and international teacher education institutions and program improvement based on these findings
    • Promotion of collaboration with the Ministry of Education, local offices of education, and partner schools
    • Identification of new initiatives for teacher education, development of updated evaluation indicators, and integration of annual feedback
    • Key initiative: Preparation and monitoring for the internal diagnostic review (2024–2025)
