Teaching Practicum

Meaning of Teaching Practicum

This course, as the practical stage of the teaching practicum, enables students to directly practice teacher activities in the actual school field, thereby learning and mastering the practical elements of the content and methods of educational activities, discovering problems that arise in such practice, and searching for developmental improvement measures.

The content of the practicum consists of practical work such as instructional guidance, guidance of daily student life, and school and class management, and the practicum is carried out for four weeks at the assigned school.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate: Must be enrolled in the first semester of the 4th year (7th semester or higher) and must have completed 98 credits or more. Graduate: Students enrolled for 3 semesters or more.

  • A–F; Retake allowed

Additional Notes

  • Practicums for students in the College of Education are conducted at the affiliated school as a general rule. Students wishing to complete practicum at a cooperating or external school must submit a practicum permission request by the end of October of the previous year.
